“As board chair of a small but complex nonprofit that was planning a leadership transition, I thought it important to document our standard operating procedures and identify opportunities for improvement. In talking with the organization's president, we decided it would be beneficial for staff to do the documentation, using a single template. Natasia developed the template and trained staff on how to use it, beginning with a discussion about why documentation matters. This was an important step that increased buy-in -- as did Natasia's 1:1 meetings with staff and "office hours" for fielding questions. Natasia fulfilled my request for an interim report (without much notice) and provided a more detailed report at the conclusion of the project, including recommendations and identification of additional documentation needs.
